I have been accepted to be part of a virtual, nationwide Professional Learning Community (PLC) focused on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion; Social Emotional Learning, and Teacher leadership in standards-based arts instruction.

The program is called Connected Art Networks (CAN). Over the course of five years, we will learn and collaborate with visual arts educators, gaining resources to positively impact students.

100 art educators from across the U.S. applied for this cohort of 15. CAN is made up of four disciplines: Visual Arts, Music, Theatre, and Dance. Thrilled to be one of the 15 selected to implement this important work in art education. States represented in the visual arts are CA, TX, PA, MD, Il, WI, NY, MI, GA, NH, and IA.
