The MAT/MA in Art & Design Education faculty is a dream team of academicians and practitioners actively engaged in contemporary discourse in cognitive theory, education research, studio practice, social and critical practice, 21st century skills and learning modalities, visual and cultural literacy, pedagogic experimentation and advancement, education policy and advocacy, and technology in art-making and in the classroom.
The MAT/MA in Art & Design Education faculty illustrate VCFA’s serious commitment to diversity of all kinds, a belief that a varied and cutting edge group of thinkers and practitioners will build an innovative and transformative program. Our faculty’s geographic and personal diversity, along with diversity in academic foci, ensure that we examine art education from a varied and national perspective, while advising students and educators through a student-centered approach.
